It is the largest island in the archipelago, with an area of 4588 km² and occupies 58% of the land area of the islands. The shape of the island is due to the fusion of five large volcanoes (Cerro Azul, Sierra Negra, Salcedo, Darwin and Wolf) in a single mass. It has a population of approximately 2200 inhabitants. The highest point is the Wolf volcano, which reaches 1,707 meters. On this island you can see penguins, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, blue-footed boobies, pelicans, as well as abundant zayapas and blue sharks. In the foothills and calderas of the six volcanoes of Isabela, you can see giant tortoises and land iguanas, as well as finches, pigeons, hawks and an interesting vegetation. The third largest human settlement of the archipelago and its largest port, known as Puerto Villamil or Albemarle, is located on the southern tip of the island.

Itinerary

ISABELA 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT (INCLUDE HOTEL)

ISABELA 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT (INCLUDE HOTEL)

DAY 1

Daily tour to Isla Isabela with snorkeling to the Islote de las Tintoreras: The Tintoreras, are located 10 minutes by boat from Puerto Villamil is a small, reclusive islet called as there is a crack of lava with calm and transparent water where they usually go to rest the sharks of white tip fin, called «tintoreras» and that It is easily observed during the day, on the vertical walls of the cracks and the small turquoise lagoon inside dozens of marine iguanas drink your bodies warm with the morning sun.

• Departure: from Santa Cruz, boarding pier.
• Boarding time: 7:00 a.m.
• Sailing time Santa Cruz Island-Isabela Island: 2 hours.
• Arrival at Isla Isabela: 9:00 am
• Walking tours: Wetlands, giant turtle breeding center.
• Isabela Island Sailing Time – Islote de las Tintoreras: 10 minutes
• Snorkel time: 45 minutes.
• Animals to see: giant tortoises, flamingos, terrestrial iguanas, white fin sharks, sea lions, reef fish.
• Food: Lunch, snack, water.
• Ends: 5:00 pm
• Includes: Professional bilingual guide, transportation, snorkeling equipment, Hotel
Does not include: Tax to enter Isabela Island, Local Poeple: $ 5, Foreign People $ 10.

DAY 2

Tunnels is one of the best places for surface diving because its waters are calm, clear and shallow.
